Boston police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a recent “prowler” incident near Boston College in the Brighton area. The incident took place on Gerald Road around 9:23 p.m. on Tuesday, with the suspect described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray gloves, pants, and sneakers. The suspect had his entire face covered with black fabric without any eye or mouth openings.
This incident follows a pattern of break-ins in the neighborhood, with a community alert issued in February regarding residential burglaries in the area. In a similar case in March, a man was arrested for peeping into apartments in the nearby Oak Square neighborhood.
The suspect was caught by a resident cutting through a backyard looking through windows, prompting him to flee the scene as other roommates, who are Boston College students, were present in the house. Kayla Schrann, one of the roommates, expressed their concern that they would not have known about the prowler if the resident had not noticed him.
Boston police are urging anyone with information to contact detectives at 617-343-4256. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line or by texting the word “TIP” to CRIME. The community is advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
