Man held on $1 million bail for allegedly raping child in Ware


Angel L. Ramos, a 51-year-old resident of Ware, has been arrested by the police on charges of five counts of raping a child under the age of 14. In addition to the rape charges, Ramos is also facing eight counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, trafficking of a person under 18 for sexual servitude, “Child in nude, lascivious pose/exhibit,” and two counts of intimidating a witness.

The Ware Police Department set Ramos’s bail at $1 million following his arrest. The investigation into Ramos’s alleged crimes was initiated by Ware Police Detective Ryan Downing in early August. A detective from the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Northampton District Attorney’s Office assisted in the arrest of Ramos.
