State police report woman in her late 20s killed in street racing accident

A tragic car crash on Route 3 South in Plymouth, MA resulted in the death of a woman in her late 20s. The crash, believed to be caused by street racing, involved three vehicles and occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Friday. The woman, ejected from a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Anthony Bradley, was taken to a Boston hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Bradley, who also sustained serious injuries, was hospitalized at Beth Israel Plymouth before being med-flighted to a Boston hospital for further care.

According to witnesses, Bradley was racing another car at a high speed in the breakdown lane when he struck a Mini Cooper and then rolled over, hitting a third vehicle before coming to a stop. Route 3 South was temporarily closed and reopened early Saturday morning.

Bradley will face charges including motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, negligent operation, breakdown lane violation, and speeding once he is able to be arraigned. The third vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene, prompting a search for a dark green or blue Dodge Challenger with significant front-end damage.

The Plymouth County State Police Detective Unit is investigating the crash, urging anyone with information to come forward. As the community mourns the loss of the young woman, the tragic incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of street racing and reckless driving.
