Two lucky lottery players in Massachusetts struck gold on Sunday night, each winning $100,000 in the daily “Mass Cash” drawing. The winning numbers for the April 6 drawing were 3, 11, 16, 26 and 27. One of the winning tickets was sold at Park Avenue Gas & Market in Worcester, while the other was sold at Petro-Save in Brockton.
With at least 257 prizes worth $600 or more being won or claimed in Massachusetts on Sunday, players across the state were celebrating their luck. The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a list of winning tickets daily, with only those worth more than $600 being included.
The largest lottery prize won in the state so far this year was $1 million a year for life, claimed by a trust on July 10 who opted to receive a one-time payment of $15.4 million. Winners of the “Mass Cash” drawing have the opportunity to turn their $100,000 prize into financial security or a dream purchase.
