Family-run Tex-Mex chain Acapulcos Mexican Family Restaurant & Cantina has closed its Beverly location after 23 years. The closure marks the second shutdown in three months, following the closure of the Quincy location in January. The management expressed gratitude to their loyal customers and mentioned plans to relocate in the future. Acapulcos, known for its authentic Mexican cuisine, has other locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut. The first Acapulcos was opened in Sudbury in 2001 by the Brambila family, but the location closed in 2021. Despite the closures, the chain remains hopeful to find a new home within Quincy to continue serving the community. Customers have expressed sadness over the closure of the Beverly location, which was a central part of the community for many years. Stay tuned for updates on potential new locations and future openings.
