Donald Trump Unaware of Elon Musk’s Alleged Campaign Drug Use

Elon Musk’s official departure from the Trump administration marks the end of his term as a “special government employee,” which lasted 130 days. President Trump addressed recent media reports alleging Musk’s drug use, denying any awareness of such behavior. The New York Times suggested that Musk used various drugs, including ketamine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms, while campaigning for Trump in 2024, though it remained unclear if he did so during his tenure in the Department of Government Efficiency.

Speaking to reporters following a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump praised Musk as “fantastic” and expressed no concern over the drug allegations. During the same press event, a reporter attempted to question Musk about the claims. However, Musk sidestepped the inquiry, opting to criticize the New York Times for its coverage of Russian interference in the 2016 election. He stated, “Let’s move on,” while positioned behind Trump at the Resolute Desk.

Musk, already a prominent figure as the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and owner of the social media platform X, has previously acknowledged using prescription ketamine to manage depression. This admission, coupled with a controversial incident in 2018 where he smoked marijuana during a podcast, has raised eyebrows among corporate executives regarding his public image.

As Musk departs Washington, D.C., the controversy surrounding his drug use and his unique role in the Trump administration remains a topic of discussion, particularly concerning the implications for both his business ventures and public perception.
